The Research, Hotel, Gown and Photography

You may think it's too early to start off with the wedding preparation but hey! You are damn wrong! There are lots of things to be done... And if you keep everything to the last minute, you'll have a hell of a time! Right now, I have lots of ideas for the wedding next year... and really, how I hope the wedding is tomorrow... That's what I told my friends around me... cos I can show off all my ideas! The more you wait, the more the ideas were used up by others... recently I just saw afew of my ideas in the mags... That means it's no longer fresh and by the time I use it, everyone else has done it... so it's no longer special... but no choice... got to think of new ones since mine is still 400plus more days!!

Well for the research, I did loads... 1st I bought many mags to read up... and I mean LOADS of them... 2nd I kept a whole lot of cutouts from mags into the form of folders for all the different needs for the wedding... stuff like venue, gowns, suits, entertainment, cars, flowers, cakes, other services, etc... lots of info!! 3rd I went to wedding shows... 4th I borrowed other books about wedding planning, etc at the libraries... 5th I compiled all the info and came out with our budget, our style, comparisons of different menu, price lists and perks which different hotels offer, how to choose the right wedding gown, etc, etc... It's really not easy to do all these things... Took alot of time... But I did it... Well, as for Beeie... haha... my friends all said that he doesn't have much of a say... he just have to pay and cooperate that's all... whahaha... He puts me in charge of all cos he says it's THE SERENE SHOW, starring Serene and co-starring Sean... hohoho... very funny... but Beeie... thanks I know you are just letting me deciding on what I want cos you want to give me what I want... I appreciate de k? hehe...

Yes, after much comparison, as what you've already know, we have decided on the date (taken from the astrologist) on 3 Oct 2009 (so please save this date in your organiser for us) and the venue at Conrad which we've already booked for... I like the ambience of this hotel and the service is great!! How do I know? Yansan's wedding was held there too!! I had a great time! It's all seen the moment you step into the hotel... Wonderful!! Of course the price is expensive too... It costs us $1500 per table for the night... I really hope all of our friends support us so that we don't make a loss k? keke... Love you guyz!! (^_^)

As what I've said in my last post in my personal blog (if you read it... if not link from the side bar...), I went to The Wedding Present to try on some gowns... The Wedding Present was also the place where I made my tea dress for my ROM... I felt that they really were good with the service and very professional with their advice and designs and most importantly, the designer (Patrick Chan) really knows what his customers want and at the end of it, our dreams fulfilled! The prettiest brides with the prettiest gown ever... so I've decided to go back there for my gown... Well, like I was saying, I tried a few gowns that day to see the materials, the cutting and the colour that suits me most. The outcome -- I can't go for satin cos it makes me look heavy and old. I can't go for red cos I look like an aunty in it. In the end, I guess most likely I will go with a ballgown or princess cut for the day and sheath or mermaid cut for the night... I do have my designs in mind already. Just have to wait for me to slim down 1st before I take all the measurements to start off making my gowns!! Yeah!! Yap, I'm going to make my gowns from zero... and I'm going to bring home my evening gown... Yahoo!!

ok, pics below... so not gona choose these... just for fun sake...

As for the studio and outdoor photography, I've decided it must be Eric Er from Attitude... I really can't go for the normal wedding pics that's so similar for all the couples... I want something vogue, something loud and out of the norm... and finally that's what I saw from his portfolio at The Wedding Present... I also went to his studio to look at his other works and I just love it... I'm so excited!! Simply can't wait to see all the outcome of our wedding photos!!

That's about all for this entry... I shall continue with the rest after I've done them... At this moment, I'm still counting down... keke...
